Position Overview: Ice Cream Taster

As an Ice Cream Taster at Eddys! Ice Cream, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and flavor consistency of our products. You will evaluate new flavors, provide feedback on taste and texture, and contribute to the innovation of new products. Key Responsibilities:

• Flavor Evaluation: Taste and evaluate various ice cream flavors, assessing them for quality, consistency, and flavor balance.
• Quality Control: Ensure that each batch of ice cream meets our high standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
• New Product Development: Collaborate with the product development team to innovate and perfect new ice cream flavors and products.
• Sensory Analysis: Conduct sensory analysis and provide detailed feedback on the organoleptic properties of our ice creams.
• Reporting: Document and report findings and recommendations to the production and development teams.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to provide insights for new flavor development.
• Customer Feedback: Analyze customer feedback related to taste and quality to inform continuous improvement of our products.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, production, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive and high-quality product offering.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in food tasting, culinary arts, or food science is preferred but not required. A strong passion for ice cream is a must.
• Palate: Exceptional tasting abilities with a keen sense of taste and smell to detect subtle differences in flavors.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented in assessing product quality.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate feedback and recommendations effectively.
• Creativity: Innovative thinker with a passion for exploring new flavors and combinations.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service.
• Language: Proficiency in English; proficiency in Norwegian is a plus.
